About me
Hello dears, for those who don't know me yet, I'm Katrin!
* * *
My Son Alejandro
First of All I would like to say that english is not my first language and I apologize for any mistake you find on my page.
I was born in Aachen, Germany, in 1975, and due to my dad living in Spain I came to Costa Brava, Lloret de Mar, for a year abroad after high school qualifications. My dad worked since 1980 abroad, and I visited my dad and his family at the Costa Brava whenever possible. So since very young I had a feeling that I will live in Spain one day.
Tourism, special travel and languages have always been my passion.
From 1994 to 1999 I studied tourism and worked as a travel agent again in Aachen.
Mallorca
On January 4th, 2000 I finally emigrated to Spain. It took me to Mallorca, for me the most beautiful island. At that time my sister Petra also lived on the island. I lived and worked in Mallorca for almost 5 years and come back "home" at least once a year because that's how Mallorca feels to me, like "home".
Wedding en Bali 2012
In 2004, when I met my husband Jose Luis, I started spending time in Alicante and got to know the Costa Blanca area. Although I didn't like it at first, we decided to live there because José Luis had already started working here with his business. I have been living and working on the Costa Blanca since September 9th, 2004 and even though it took me a while, it has become my home now!
The best thing that "happened" to me till now, was without any doubt the birth of our son Alejandro in 2008. I'm very proud of him and enjoy every day of my life with him. Since we both like traveling around the world (the apple doesn't fall far from the tree), we travel the world as often as we can and have already seen a lot.
About me and my sister Petra
Unfortunately, on January 31, 2011, my family and I had to find out how quickly a life can change, as it was when my sister Petra, who was not even 34 years old, died in a car accident. We always had something to laugh about!
We always had something to laugh about!
At that time I fell into a very dark and deep hole and it wasn't for Alejandro, I don't know if I would have gotten out of there. Losing a loved one is like a nightmare you just can't wake up from.
My sister Petra and I grew up together with our mom Margret and we often bickered as children, but we always said we were like late twins, I was just there 20 months earlier than her.
But since young adult life, we weren't just sisters, we were also best friends, and that's perhaps even easier to understand. Even today I often think I have to call you and tell her about it and at the same moment I look up at the sky and know that she has already heard me.
Petra und Katrin
Even as I write this I'm crying and my nose is running, but it's not pain anymore, it's feelings and letting go of the pain to live in grateful memory of her.
Jutta, a dear friend of my sister Petra, gave me a book about yoga - she helped me to discover yoga for myself.
About me and Yoga
Yoga has helped me a lot to ease the pain of losing my beloved sister Petra and to regain my personal balance. I was so enthusiastic about yoga that I have attended many courses myself and have been a registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance of 550 RYS since 2020.
Meine Dream-Wedding at 31.08.2012 in Bali
I'm happy to be able to tell you about my travels and my new projects. Many group trips have been on my plan for a long time. Some of my readers on Facebook have already asked me about such trips and it would be me
My Projects
It would be a pleasure if you would accompany me. If you like, join us on Facebook or Instagram.
Day trips, yoga events and weekend trips already exist with me and my friend Bianca from:
Rose Costa Service.
Another project with the conversion of an old finca - for holidays at the countryside, as well as yoga and events, is running and I'm doing a master's degree in patience.
Holiday 2015 in Bali
Now I have also decided to build a website and report on all my travels. It's been on my agenda for years, but I can really get started now thanks to my dad's help. So I can report on mistakes that I have made myself, but I can also pass on lots of tips and valuable information to you so that you can enjoy a trouble-free holiday.
My Friend Niki in Nepal
Finally, a heart project by my friend Niki in Nepal. Niki lives in Suncave Monastery, with 54 children and the monks. The children sometimes have bad fates or have been rejected. The main monastery is in Mustang in the mountains and it is much too cold there for the children so they are in the 2nd monastery in Pokhara.
Unfortunately, the new airport in Pokhara was built right in front of the monastery and that makes the situation very difficult.
Niki's idea is to bring the monastery to the countryside with the help of donations in order to be self-sufficient and independent. I try to help with small events and campaigns because I'm sure that it gets where it's needed.
I hope you enjoy reading my pages!
