Bangkok

our bike tour through the city of millions

Pagoden Thailand

I just had to smile...

just thinking about Bangkok. Yes, you love it or you don't like it. I love Bangkok and I'm not a big city fan.

Where should I start, ok today I'll tell you about our first tour with Alejandro in 2012.

Wat Arun

What would you say if I suggested you do a bike tour through Bangkok.Hahahaha exactly unimaginable, but unique.

I got this tip from a nice Dutch customer and was thrilled. We booked the tour online and took the Skytrain to the specified station. We didn't expect the small house with the garden to be in the modern area. But as in many places in Bangkok, you just have to follow a small alley to get to know little Bangkok.

Alejandro was 4 years old at the time and my husband had him in the bicycle seat. The tour was just great. We drove along the Klongs and discovered part of Chinatown. The highlight for Alejandro was a temple complex with a crocodile pond.

After this tour I felt much freer in Bangkok and since then I've usually been out before sunrise to watch the hustle and bustle.

Statuen wat pho

The bike tour is on our program every time we visit Bangkok, as is the visit to Wat Pho.

What can I do in Bangkok?

a bike tour and so much more, here you will find a few links with info

Where to stay in Bangkok?

Well I prefer to stay at the Chao Phraya

But Sukhumvit is also a good starting point and there are many offers

But I've also stayed in Ramuttri Road and Khao San Road, just to try everything

My TO DO is to stay at the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok, until now I've only been there for tea or breakfast and the decoration is just gorgeous

We mostly book our hotels here   via Booking.com

What is the best way to get to Thailand?

By plane from all major cities in the world. There are 2 airports, the biggest is called Suvarnabhumi and the second Don Mueang. On the first arrive the scheduled airlines and international flights, but also on the second there are international flights but mainly charter flights.

Bangkog

A little tip: to avoid any stress, book a transfer and let us pick you up and drive you straight to the hotel.

But there are also buses and taxis that you can book on arrival as you speak English.
